The 1961 Topps Sports Cars set was one of the earlier forays for Topps into oversized cards. They would use a similar format on the 1965 Football set and the 1969/1970 basketball sets but the format never made it into the baseball world. The card fronts picture bold colored backgrounds with popular sports cars in the foreground. The card backs are the salmon colored format of some of the later football and basketball cards of the same size format. The cards can be found in both white and gray backs.
This pair of 1961 Topps Sports cars have both been graded by SGC and includes the following subjects: #13 MGA Twin Cam (SGC86 NM+ 7.5) and #42 Dual Ghia (SGC84 NM 7.0).
