T304/PX108 Zubelda Cigarettes Miniature Paintings on Convex Tin Lot of (27) with Glassine Envelopes

The T302 Zubelda Cigarettes Miniature "Painting on Tin" are interesting novelties that were inserted into Zubelda Cigarettes packages. The tin paintings measure 1-3/4" by 2-1/2". The tins were made in Germany and are generally found with a little stamp adhered to the back noting such. The tins were placed in a small paper envelope with the Zubelda notation on the front. The front also notes "Imported Miniature Herein" and that the premiums were from Factory #7, Fifth District in New Jersey. The can also be found in Murad envelopes as well. This is the largest lot of T304/PX108 Zubelda Cigarettes Miniature Paintings on Convex Tin that has ever been offered at auction. The (27) here comprise over 55% of the cataloged copies from non-sport.com. The tins are in VGEX to EX condition primarily with clean fronts and blank tin backs. The envelopes and inner wrappers included in the lot are also very clean. Just a great lot of this oddball issue from the mid 1910's.
