The R132 series of 48 Airplane Strip cards were published sometime in the mid-to-late 1930’s and were likely a point of sale premium for some type of candy or gum product. As with many of the strip card sets of the same time, they were printed in strips of eight cards and were made to be cut or torn apart. Six strips made the set complete.
This lot of (2) PSA-Graded R132 Series of 48 Airplanes include the following specimens: #301 D. H. Comet (PSA4 VG-EX) and #323 Hawker Super-Fury (PSA5.5 EX+). Beautiful pair of these condition sensitive cards in nice condition.
