The J.N. Collins candy company of Philadelphia issued the rarely seen R84 Magic Candy set in 1933. The cards feature (48) different cards illustrating and explaining Magic Tricks. The cards measure 2-3/4" Wide by 3-1/4" High and usually employ an orange, white, blue and black color scheme. Of the (48) cards in the set, non-sport.com has only checklisted (14) of the titles, illustrating just how difficult the series is. Cards from R84 are missing from many different advanced "R" type card collector's lists and the cards are rarely seen.
This single R84 J. N. Collins Magic Candy card is for subject #39 Master Memory that is in technically fair condition with a paper pull on the upper right corner. Absent this condition issue, the card would be in VGEX condition or so and the card has the appearance of a VGEX card with just a very faint crease. Great, tough type card for the advanced collector.
