The R189 Tyntype Cartoons set is a (24) card postcard set measuring 3-1/2" by 5-1/2". The cards are line drawn artistic cards featuring different comic situations. The cards were issued by Gum Inc of Philadelphia. The cards are relatively scarce but not heavily collected.
This lot includes a complete set of (24) cards from the R189 Gum Inc Tintype Cartoons set that also includes the glassine envelope for the set. Cards in the set are in VGEX to EX with just a couple lesser and the glassine envelope is in Good condition. This is, without question, the largest grouping we have offered of this rarely seen set and the first complete set we have seen. The glassine is another very difficult 'add in' to the cards in the set and the first such glassine we have ever seen.
