The R8-2 Peco Candy Cigarettes set is a (28) card set that were box designs on small boxes of candy cigarettes. At a time when smoking was not quite the pariah that it is today, kids bought candy cigarettes in the dime stores of the 1930's-1980's. Pecheur Lozenge company of Brooklyn, NY was a company that made these candy cigarettes and printed cards on the boxes as a way to get kids to buy more of the candy. The R8-2 is a set of small airplane cards which were part of the box. The cards are perforated and easily punched from the box.
This lot of (3) R8 Peco Airplanes are a different, larger format card with blue banners at the top and bottom of the card. They are in VG to VGEX condition and much tougher than are the smaller format R8-2 Peco cards.
