The Donat Gum company of France issued a number of sets in the 1930's that were issued with their Gum products. Many of these sets have the 'look' of 1930's U.S. card sets. The Donat Sport and Sport-Avion sets picture different sports across the world with particular emphasis on sports that France is involved with. The series includes boxing, bicycle racing and even a baseball card of Babe Ruth. The cards are single-toned cards usually black or blue ink. The fronts and the backs are numbered with the backs having a short narrative of the image on the fronts of the card.
This lot of (9) Donat Sport and Sport-Avion cards feature France Cycling and the Tour de France. There are (3) Sport-Avion and (6) Sport cards in the lot which feature cards that are in Fair to VG condition with most around Good.
