The R97-2 General Gum set of Movie Stars is a (24) cards that can be found with large borders at the top and bottom or cut closer at the top and bottom. The method of distribution of the two types of cards is generally unknown. The cards picture the stars of the day including some very popular stars like Joan Crawford, Marlene Dietrich, Clark Gable, Greta Garbo, Helen Hayes, Buster Keaton and Will Rogers.
This near set of (23/24) cards from the R97-2 General Gum Movie Stars set runs the gamut in condition from Poor to EX with most being around VG. Some are trimmed. The set is missing only Marlene Dietrich to be complete.
