Blatz Gum is the second gum company credited with issuing cards for the 1933 Chicago's World's Fair known as the Century of Progress. They issued a (32) card set. The set can be found with the Blatz advertising on the back or in (16) card small folios akin to the mini postcards that were popular in the same timeframe. Two folios made up the same (32) card set and can be found a little easier than the Blatz-backed cards.
This lot is for a single R30 Blatz Gum Company Century of Progress Wrapper is in technically fair condition with some small holes at the four corners of where it would have been wrapped around the cards in the package. The Art Deco orange and blue graphics and inset picture on the package is beautiful and this is one of the neater wrappers we have offered. Despite the condition, the wrapper is a very difficult wrapper to find in any condition and would make a welcome addition to any advanced wrapper collection or as a tangent collectible for a complete R30 Blatz Gum Century of Progress set.
