A different background color is used on each sequence of 11 cards (with 1 exception) as follows: Card #1-11 = yellow, Card #12-22 = blue, Card #23-33 = red, Card #34-43 + #55 = orange, Card #44-54 = green, Card #56-66 = yellow.
This complete set of (66) cards from the 1955 Topps Funny Foldees set are in Good to NRMT with most falling into the VG/VGEX range.
***UPDATE***
An advanced collector forwarded the following:
This set was reprinted in 1955. The original printing was in 1949 or very early in 1950. Some of which were quite risqué for a children’s issue. Some pictures were changed for the 1955 reissue. I have checked, and cards 9, 13, 14, 19, 26, 29, 39 and 51 are from the original 1949-50 printing. Number 48 is from the 1955 printing due to red gown covers centaur instead of topless woman centaur. Many others in this set could have been printed in 1949-50 as well. Researched using “The Modern Hobby Guide To Topps Chewing Gum: 1938 To 1956” by David Hornish.
