Not a lot is known about the Allen & Ginter Beauties in Gloves Set but what is available out there appears to have been cut from an advertising poster. The cards picture gloves of a number of different colors with an inset picture of an actress in the palm. The cards are numbered on the front in the lower part of the hand in the wrist area with "No. 1" and so on through No. 25. The cards have no advertising on the front and are blank-backed. It is believed that they were intended to have been issued by A&G but never went to press for some reason. They are relatively scarce but are found from time to time.
This complete set of (25) cards is in VG to EX condition, averaging mostly VGEX+. The cards have some bleed through of the front images on the backs or some type of wet sheet transfer process. All the (25) cards here are consistent in condition and look and appear to have been hand cut although very nicely done. Great opportunity to pick up a complete set of these rarely seen cards. Tough to assemble this set one at a time.
