The Kinney Tobacco N224 Military series is a 622 card series picturing military men from all over the world and from each of the states in the U.S. at the time. It is widely collected and extremely difficult to finish due to a dozen or so extreme rarities. Kinney produced a number of pieces of advertising to go along with the promotion including trade cards, posters and die cut pieces like this counter advertising piece. The ornate lithography and color of the piece would have been a good enticement for consumers. The piece stands about 3" x 15" and pictures a military man with crossed "Sweet Caporal" on his chest and "Standard Cigarettes" below his feet.
This piece is in EX to EXMT condition. It is printed on thicker stock to stand up well and the back tab is still intact and in good condition. One of the better copies of this advertising we have ever seen.
