Inaugural January 2019 Auction
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 1/27/2019
The Donat chocolate company of France issued a number of sets in the 1930's. This lot is a group of (30) of their flag cards. The title of the set is Les Drapeaux Indiana. Many of their sets have the name "Indiana" printed on the cards. Many of the sets on the back say that they are from a series of 136 images but most of the sets are smaller than that. Not sure if they worked to have kids looking for more cards than actually existed or they planned future series that never got produced. It is entirely possible that this is a complete set of flags as I've never seen another title than the ones listed in this lot. The cards are very colorful and very reminiscent of all the 1930's candy and gum cards of the United States and are popular with collectors.
This lot includes (30) cards in the following conditions: (8) EX to EX+, (12) VGEX and (10) VG or lesser condition.
