The 1952 Topps Wings set of (200) Cards was one of the many visionary sets that Topps issued in 1952. They quickly cemented their place as the main card issuer with sets like Wings. The set pictures airplanes from all of the main manufacturers in the 1930's and 1940's like Douglass and Boeing, Vaught and Sikorsky and others. The large format cards lent themselves to beautiful painted pictures of the many airplanes in the set.
In this 1952 Topps Wings set, cards 1-100 generally fall into the VG range with a few better and a few worse. Cards 101-200 are generally VGEX-EX with a few worse. The (4) graded cards include the following subjects: #42 IL-12 (SGC7 NM), #59 H-21 (SGC8 NM-MT), #85 Viscount (SGC7.5 NM+) and #157 Breguet Type III (SGC6.5 EX-MT+).
