The D22 Cushman Bread Cards of States set is a (48) card set issued by Cushman in loaves of bread. The cards have been called state census cards as well as they picture colorful vignette pictures that show what the state pictured is best known for. In addition to that they have statistical data at the front of the card including the area of the state in square miles, population, the capital, principal city and the principal industries for the state. The colorful fronts also have the Name of the state and it's nickname--Indiana is the "Hoosier State" for instance. The backs of the cards are designed as postcards with a place for a postage stamp and boasts that Cushman Bread is "The leading bread of New York for the past 50 years".
This set of (48) cards is in VG to EX condition, averaging mostly VG+ to VGEX-. It is a rare treat to find a complete Bread set as they are difficult to assemble. This would be a great addition to any advanced nonsports collection.
