Auction #14 - June 2023

The 1959 Fleer Indians set is an (80) card set picturing American Indians in their everyday lives. The artwork is somewhat primitive but the cards are collectible and have very pretty red, white and blue backs. The cards were issued during Fleer's big 1959 year for issuing cards.
This is a magnificent specimen of this entertaining series, which features painted color
scenes of Native American life on the fronts, and descriptive information on the backs. This set
was painfully assembled over a period of years with an eye to high grade and superior centering,
It excels on both fronts, with only the #1 card exhibiting less-than perfect centering (this is a very
tough card to obtain with good centering). NM to NM-MT overall, truly outstanding. Includes the
two variations of #19 and #70. All cards mounted in Cardsaver 1 plastic holders, displayed in
plastic pages inside a sturdy looseleaf binder. A set you will be proud to show off!
Originating in the collection of a very advanced PSA collector, this set and a number of others in the auction are high mid-grade sets mostly free of creases and individually sleeved in semi-rigids housed in 4 pocket pages in binders. As with this set, many of the sets are mostly ungraded with some nice or key cards graded as noted.
