The 1951 Bowman Red Menace set was issued during the height of the Communist scare and pictured images that were supposed to ensure that Communism was demonized. The backs have the phrase "Children's Crusaide Against Communism". This is the most iconic card from the set #23 and pictures a scene of New York City after an atom bomb had gone off. The card advocates working for peace through the United Nations.
This lot of (14) 1951 Bowman Red Menace cards are in VGEX to EXMT condition, averaging EX. All cards are cream backs except for #1 subject is a gray back.
