The H764 Gail & Ax Little Joker Tobacco company issued the Adventures of Baron Munchausen Set of Trade cards in the latter part of the 19th century The set pictures fantastic artwork from the story of Baron Munchausen who was a fictional German nobleman created by Rudolf Erich Raspe. The book outlined Munchausen and his travels and campaigns in Russia. The cards generally measure 3-1/8" wide by 5-3/4" high. Within the field of the front of the card, each card has the Gail & Ax tobacco package integrated into the artwork.
This near complete set of (9/10) cards is in an even GVG to VGEX condition. Some of the cards have a light waviness due to likely album removal.
