Everyone knows Jefferson Burdick is the father of card collecting. Nearly everyone knows he is the author of the American Card Catalog (ACC). Less well known, however, is that Burdick created a book called "Pioneer Post Cards" which outlined the very early hobby of Post Card collecting and the early period of Post Cards in the U.S. through 1898. The book is printed on slick stock with a light blue cover and is illustrated throughout with early Post Card images.
This copy of "Pioneer Post Cards" By Jefferson Burdick has been autographed by Burdick in blue ballpoint pen on the inside Title Page. The book has spine issues, being nearly separated from the cover. The autograph is in great condition and reads "J R Burdick". Great opportunity to add to a Hobby History collection with this guide autographed by the father of card collecting.
