Shotwell Manufacturing issued a number of card sets in their candy bars in the 1920's and a 24 card set picturing Red Grange in his film "One Minute to Play" was just one of them. The (24) card set pictured Grange in a number of scenes from the movie which was very popular. The movie was released on September 12, 1926.
This lot is for a single card from the E-UNC Shotwell's Red Grange "One Minute to Play" Set for card #11. The card pictures Grange in football pants talking to a women around the side of a tree. The woman is likely Mary MacAlister who was the female lead in the movie. The card is in poor condition with heavy creasing and something adhered to the back but is a tough card from a very tough set.
