The R55 Frank Buck Set is a (48) card set issued by Gumakers of America of Clifton Heights, PA in 1938. The cards picture Frank Buck in his exploits in capturing wild animals all around the world. Frank Buck (March 17, 1884 – March 25, 1950) made many expeditions into Asia and around the world capturing wild animals and bringing them back to the zoos of the Western world. This set and the 1950 Topps set outline many of those expeditions and the animals that Buck brought back.
This lot of (7) R55 Gumakers of America Frank Buck cards have all been graded SGC80 or EX-MT and include the following subjects: #9, #11, #18, #19, #26, #27 and #40. Great, higher grade lot of this 1930's set.
