The R150 Time Marches on set of (48) cards is one of the many sets of strip cards issued in the 1930's and 1940's. This set was believed to have been issued in the 1930's likely as a point of sale promotion for candy--hence its inclusion in the "R" category. The cards were, like many of the other strip sets, issued in strips of (8) cards with (6) strips comprising a complete set. The cards are numbered on the front and back from 601-648 and the backs also have a small narrative for the image on the front of the card. The subjects of the cards ranges from Christopher Columbus through Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Famous subjects in the set include George Washington, Lafayette, the Pilgrims, the Boston Massacre and many other famous Americans and famous happenings. This complete set of (48) cards from the R150 Time Marches On Complete Set are in Good to VGEX condition with most around VG. This set seems to be a little more condition sensitive than some of the other strip sets of the same timeframe.
