The 1973 Topps Kung Fu Test issue is a (44) card series that were issued prior to the more mainstream set. The difference can be noted with a blue bordered back on the test series. The set sought to capitalize on the popularity of the television show of the same name. The show is an American action-adventure martial arts Western drama television series starring David Carradine. The series follows the adventures of Kwai Chang Caine, a Shaolin monk who travels through the American Old West. The show had 62 episodes from 1972 through 1975 that aired on ABC.
