The R3 Leader Novelty Adventures of the Army, Navy and the Marines is a large set of cards that were panels in boxes of candy from the 1930s. The different groups have different numbers of cards and, while advertising 400 different cards, could only contain the 60 checklisted numbers at non-sport.com. The Army group is a brown-bordered set with "A" numbers such as A1-A119 with (24) checklisted numbers. The Navy are even-numbered numbers from N2-N118 with (24) checklisted numbers. The Marines are yellowish orange in color and numbered M350-M400 skipping 10 numbers for each of the (6) that are checklisted. Each subseries--Army, Navy and the Marines also have a 'coupon' card or the card that is the front panel of the box which is the same for every box and pictures a member of the specified armed services.
This single R3 Leader Novelty Card is a Navy header card in about Good condition with a very light paper pull on the printed back.
