The 1950 R714-2 Topps Bring 'Em Back Alive set of (100) cards pictures the antics of Frank Buck and details efforts to bring wild animals back for displaying. The set pictures wild animals in various settings--mostly in their natural habitats chasing and fighting other wild animals. The cards are vivid depictions of the wild animals.
The 1951 Topps Animals of the World set is a (100) card series of animals of the world pictured on the front of the card in front of a colored rectangle with white borders and a black title in all caps. The backs of the cards are numbered in the upper left and have a short narrative about the animal. They can be found in either cream color or gray color. The gray cards were issued in wax packs individually and the cream backs are from panels of two that were issued in cello type packages.
This complete set of (200) cards numbers 1-200 and includes complete sets of Bring 'Em Back Alive and Topps Animals. The cards in both sets are combinations of cream backs and gray backs and fall generally into the VG to EX range, averaging mostly VGEX. Great pair of sets.
