The T80 Military set is an interesting set that is reminiscent of the T205 baseball set due to the gold borders and ornate graphics on the front of the card. The set is truly a beautiful work of art. Backs can be found for a number of manufacturers--some of which are prohibitively difficult. The most common back is Tolstoi, with Uzit, Lenox, Cairo Monopol and Old Mill being very difficult. Blank backs can also be found for the series which are also extremely difficult to obtain. All backs are printed in black with the exception of the UZIT blue printed backs. The Old Mill, Uzit and Lenox backed cards are popular with baseball collectors as back exemplars. Similarly backed T206 cards can easily run into the thousands of dollars.
This group of (5) T80 Military series cards are all Lenox-backed cards. The cards are clean VG to EX cards, averaging around VGEX and include the following subjects: Hussar Austria, Colonel of the General Staff Cavalry, Lieutenant General US, Brigadier General USA and Drummer Infantry Russia. Great lot of these VERY tough back variations.
