The N53 Allen & Ginter "Views" set is an obscure set that pictures government buildings and monuments on albumen photo cards carrying the Virginia Brights advertising of Allen & Ginter. The cards were likely issued in the late 1880's to early 1890's and measure like a standard albumen card of the day. Only 9 different subjects have been seen but likely more exist. Many advanced type card collections don't include a card from this classification. The Statue of Liberty card seems to be the most common and there are at least a couple different cropping views of that subject.
This incredibly difficult card from the N53 Allen & Ginter Views set pictures the Statue of Liberty. The card is in poor condition, having been skinned from the thick cardboard backing and having a tear through the Virginia Brights logo at the bottom of the card. It is however, extremely scarce in any condition and does have better than average photo quality for an albumen photo of the period.
