The cards in the T400-T499 range were issued abroad during a period right after the beginning of the 20th century during a period of what has been termed the "Tobacco War". American Tobacco Company was in a fierce competition with the British American Tobacco company for who would be the dominant force around the world in selling cigarettes. The ATC was a trust cobbled together from a number of older tobacco companies. During this period a number of series of cards were issued with ATC or BAT advertising most likely to be issued in the UK and rest of the British commonwealth. Many of these cards are mostly found from the UK, Japan and other countries where they were more readily available.
This mixed lot of (59) cards from the T400 American Tobacco Company Actresses run includes cards from a number of different subseries--some of which have the green net back and some that have the typeset back. All cards are VG to EXMT and uniformly clean.
