The N268 Lorillard Tobacco Circus series is a series of (25) Lorillard cards picturing scenes from the Circus. Clowns and horses are the predominant them in the series. There are four different front/back combinations and advertisements. The Red Cross issue with the name on the frontf and a blank back. Another type has Red Cross on front and back. Another type has Sensation Cut Plug on front and back and a final, fourth type doesn't have tobacco advertising at all.
This complete set of (25) cards from the N268 Lorillard Red Cross Tobacco Circus Scenes set includes (7) cards with the Red Cross Tobacco backs. The majority of the cards are in VG/VGEX condition with a few lesser. A single card picturing "Clown Balancing" has been graded by SGC as SGC40 / VG3. Great, complete set that is very clean and worthy of any high level 19th century collection.
