Congress Cut Plug tobacco issued a couple different series of cards during the late part of the 19th century. The N534 Series is a chromolithographed card in full color with black borders and advertising at the bottom front. The second classification is N652 which falls into a more common type of albumen photo card with advertising on the bottom front. In both instances, the advertising says "Use Congress Cut Plug". Both series measure 2-1/4" by 4" in size
This group of (12) constitutes a complete set of the known, checklisted examples from the N534 Congress Cut Plug Actress set. The cards are generally in VG to VGEX condition with a couple of them having some back issues where it appears they were recolored. The fronts display perfectly.
