The R58 Generals and their Flags set was one of many strip card sets issued in the 1930's. Believed to have been point-of-sale giveaways with the purchase of gum or other products at the dime stores of the day, Burdick cataloged most all of them under the "R" heading. Most were issued in strips of (8) uncut cards to be cut at a later time. Finding cleanly cut cards can sometimes prove a challenge as many times they were crudely torn or not a great deal of effort was put into getting them squared off.
This complete set of (24) R58 Generals & Their Flags Strip card set is in VGEX to EXMT condition, averaging about EX. Very clean set for the 1930's "R" card collector.
