The R28 Cartoon Series is a (48) card set with (4) different subjects--Tailspin Tommy (#401-408), Tarzan of the Apes (#409-416), Broncho Bill (#417-424) and Buck Rogers (#425-448). All (4) were popular comics of the 1930's but the fascination with Buck Rogers and his adventures garnered 1/2 of the set and mirrored the fascination of the children of the day with Buck Rogers' exploits.

This near set of (33/48) R28 Cartoon Adventures cards have been completely graded by PSA and include the following subjects: PSA8 NM-MT(MK) (1 card: #406), PSA7(OC) (1 card: #426), PSA6 EX-MT (2 cards: #407, 430), PSA5.5 EX+ (1 card: #413), PSA5 EX (16 cards: #403, 404, 408, 410, 415, 416, 417, 423, 432, 435, 437, 438, 440, 441, 443 and 445), PSA4.5 VG-EX+ (2 cards: #402, 405), PSA4 VG-EX (5 cards: #409, 411, 414, 424 and 439), PSA3 VG (1 card: #401) and PSA2 Good (1 card: #425). Great set missing only about 1/3 of the cards to be complete.
