The R115 Jig-Saw Nougat set is a set of (14) cards picturing U.S. presidents against a bold red background. The Jig Saw Nougat brand name is on the fronts of the cards at the bottom in either red print against a yellow background or black printing with a red background. The cards were issued by Gold Brand Confectionery of Allston, Massachusetts. The card backs have a small narrative about the president pictured on the front and have a spot at the bottom which instructs the bearer cut off the bottom 1/2" of the card and redeem with all (15) cards--numbered 16 to 30--to get a copy of Picture Puzzle Weekly, normally sold for twenty five cents. The card backs can be found in gold or blue print and the cards are often found with the bottom trimmed.
This lot is for a trio of R115 Jig Saw Nougat Presidents Cards including the following subjects: #17 Andrew Johnson (Good, blue back), #20 James Garfield (Good, black back) and #29 Warren G. Harding (Good, blue back). Nice lot of these colorful cards for the set builder.
