The majority of the known Whiz Bang Gum stars came from a lot from a 2009 Robert Edward Auction. The box sold there included (83) Whiz Bang cards and gum. The cards come from a set of (16) known subjects including Warner Baxter, Ed Brendel, Joe E. Brown, Gary Cooper, Hoot Gibson, Goose Goslin, Lefty Grove, Gabby Hartnett, Buck Jones, Tom Keen, Ken Maynard, Wallace McDonald, Jack Oakie, George O'Brien, Chief Thunderbird and Ted Wells. The cards measure about 3" by 3" with a circular interior black and white photo and spikes on the four corners. The majority of the subjects are western movie stars with a trio of baseball figures (Goslin, Grove and Hartnett).
This lot is for a single R-UNC Whiz Bang Gum of the subject Buck Jones that has been graded SGC8 or NM-MT. The card is in pristine condition and very nice.
