This 1930's Gum, Inc Uncle Sam One Cent Wrapper exhibits fantastic red, white and blue coloring. This wrapper pictures Uncle Sam top and center in a circle of other figures including (top left, clockwise) a soldier, sailor, airman, civilian and marine. The wrapper advertises a premium for a buttonhole flag for five Uncle Sam wrappers and three cents. A note to parents and teachers at the top of the wrapper outlines the benefits of the cards as historical lessons for kids. A similar note for kids on the bottom right outlines the benefits of Uncle Sam gum and advisies collecting and trading the cards. This wrapper is a relic of a bygone era and a great example of patriotism in the World War II timeframe.

This beautiful wrapper is in EXMT condition and extremely clean for a 1930's wrapper. Gum, Inc was one of the heavyweights of issuing cards in the 1930's and later became the Fleer Company. This wrapper would be comfortable in any of the best wrapper collections or as a tag along with a nice Uncle Sam set.
