Absolutely beautiful 1950's Budweiser Beer Custer's Last Stand Cardboard Framed Picture. This piece has fantastic graphics of the fateful event for General George Custer at Little Big Horn in Southeastern Montana. It was the largest battle of the Great Sioux War of 1876 and took place June 25 and 26. It would be the end for Custer and most of the 7th Cavalry Regiment of the U.S. Army. It was a major victory for the Native Americans who included Crazy Horse and Chief Gall.
This advertising piece for Budweiser pictures Custer and his forces being overwhelmed in a colorful rendition on cardboard. The Budweiser logo is front and center of the bottom of the piece which is crafted to look like a framed piece. The piece measures 26-1/2" tall x 37" wide.
This piece is in VG to VGEX condition with few major flaws that are visible to the front of the piece. Upon reviewing the back, there is a split at the center of the label at the bottom of the picture. The piece maintains what appears to be the original string hanger at the top and the clasps holding that in place look to be original and in good condition. The front of the piece has some nicks along the border that ultimately don't affect the look at all. Great piece of Brewing history and of American History.
