The 1950's and 1960's saw a huge dearth of movie star sets issued throughout Europe and no country was more prolific in issuing sets than was Holland. The Dutch issued dozens of sets of movie stars--generally full color, blank-backed sets that had some identifying set letter on them. The sets included mostly American movie stars of the 1950's and 1960's and some of the most popular stars of the day with Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Elvis Presley, Lucille Ball and many many more.
This near set of 1957 Dutch "Serie C" is missing only 2, 198, 199 and 200 to be complete. The cards in this near set are in VG to EXMT, averaging VGEX/EX.
