The Lowney Chocolate company issued a set of 35 famous train cards, likely in the 1920's. The cards have an interesting size at 1.5 x 3.5 inches, long and thin and can be placed together in groups of 7 cards to make five different complete trains. The cards could be redeemed in a complete set of 35 cards for a package of Lowney chocolates. The cards are often found in lower grade due to the odd size and likely because children played with them, making trains.
This pair of V48 Lowney's Chocolates Famous Trains have been graded by PSA and include the following subjects: #24 (PSA5 EX) and #27 (PSA6 EX-MT). Great pair of cards from this interesting set.
