Buchner Tobacco issued a number of sets in the 1880's to 1890's and seemed to have somewhat of a penchant for policemen. No less than five of the fourteen Buchner sets include pictures of policemen--N281, N283, N284, N287 and N288. The N281 American Scenes with a Policemen contain nice artistic work of an American iconic spot along with a policeman in the picture. The cards are titled on the front with the characteristic Buchner redemption advertisement on the back.
This single N281 Buchner American Scenes with a Policeman is of the subject "Yale College Boat House, New Haven" that is in VG condition and mostly clean front and back. Could be a great addition to a growing N281 Buchner collection.
