The C97 Imperial Tobacco Company of Canada is a (50) card set issued sometime in the 1900-1919 range. The backs of the cards are blank and do not identify Imperial Tobacco but many such sets are attributed to the company from this time period. Most of the sets were printed in England and are similar to Imperial Tobacco (UK) sets but are blank backed or have specific advertising for Imperial of Canada. This set pictures colorful Women of the world in native dress in some setting.
This lot of (34) C97 Imperial Tobacco (Canada) Women of All Nations cards are largely Good to VGEX with most around VG. (13) of the (34) cards have some type of writing on the back--generally a number inside a circle. Nice starter lot of these colorful Canadian cigarette cards.
