The T47 Herbert Tareyton Cigarettes British Sovereigns set is a (42) card set picturing British rulers back hundreds of years from William the Conqueror to King George the Sixth. The cards were likely issued in the late 1930's. The backs on the cards are black printed and can have one of 6 different types. Five of the types are slogans for Tareyton and the sixth type has a short narrative about Tareyton's quality. All 42 cards can be found with each of the six backs, so this set represents a variation or master set collector's target.
This set is largely in EX to EXMT condition with just a couple better and a couple worse.
