The E47 Jockeys set is one of the many American Caramels sets issued in the 1910 time frame. The artwork in this set is used in a number of other sets including the 1880's N22 Allen & Ginter Jockey set and the P8 High Admiral Jockeys set. It's also used in the Robertson Candy set in Canada classified V150. Like many of the caramel sets, these cards are often found in lower grade. This card pictures Pierre Lorillard who was from the Lorillard tobacco family and thoroughbred horse owners.
This complete set of (20) cards from the E47 American Caramel Jockey Series are in lower grade with issues primarily to the backs of the cards. The card fronts display nicely.
