The Allen & Ginter Editors set of the late 1880's conveyed just how much importance was placed on the power of the pen. Many of the editors pictured in the set were some of the most powerful men in the United States at the time. Pulizter, Belo and many more. The 50 card set employed great lithography and the cards were numbered on the back. This set, like some of the other A&G sets, seems to have used possibly some type of coating on the front which make them susceptible to flaking of the surface.
This lot of (15) cards are largely in VGEX to EX condition with a few lesser. The numbers in the lot include #1, 3, 4, 7, 10, 14, 18, 23, 26, 35, 37, 38, 42, 46 and 50. The Joseph Pulitzer #38 subject is a clean EX to EXMT condition, well centered with a clean back.
