N250 Lorillard Tobacco Actresses Lot of (19) Cards

The Lorillard Tobacco Company issued a number of sets in the late 1880's including a good number of actress sets. Most of those sets are in more of a medium size format with the exception being the N250 Actress set. The set is smaller format, measuring 1-5/8" wide by 2-9/16" high. The card fronts are colorful lithographs of the named actresses with an advertisement at the bottom for either Sweet Russet Plug Tobacco or for Blot Fine Cut Chewing Tobacco. The set numbers 25 actresses with most of the bigger names of the day including Billie Barlow, Laura Burt and Annie Sutherland.

This lot of (19) cards from the N250 Lorillard Tobacco Actresses set are largely in VG to EX condition, averaging EX, with the exception of (4) cards that have some level of trimming or back damage. Nice lot for the set builder. All cards save one are from the "Sweet Russett" brand advertising with the extra card being "Blot" advertising.
