The N312 Series is a series of (15) cards picturing "Winged Birds of Plumage". The card fronts feature women from the waist up with bird feathers added set against a light brown background. The series were a stock photo card series that were used by a number of tobacco companies for advertising including William G. Hills "Orphan Boy" brand, Allen & Ginter (strips of three cards), Frishmuth and Mayo Cut Plug, among others. The Hills cards are most common as are the Mayo's but all of the cards are difficult to find and some are nearly impossible.
This lot is for a single N312 Winged Birds of Paradise card of the subject "Peacock" with Frishmuth's Chowder Cut Plug advertising. The Frishmuth's version of these cards are very difficult to find and completing any of these (15) card sets is a daunting challenge.
