The G.E. Barbour Company Fathers of the Confederation is a (36) card set featuring famous politicians instrumental in the early life of Canadian politics. The G.E. Barbour Company produces tea, nut butters, spices and other food products still to this day. This set was likely issued in the 1950's and likely in tea to possibly compete against Brooke Bond and other Canadian interests. The cards are interesting in that they're square with rounded corners and muted colors. The backs are numbered and have a small narrative in both English and French.
This partial set of (20/36) Father of the Confederation cards are in Good to EX with most being around VGEX. There are a couple of cards with light staining on the back--likely the tea product.
