In the 1950's, Blue Bonnet Margarine issued an interesting set of Howdy Doody character cards on their boxes of margarine. There were three different types of cards in this group--all picturing a character on the outside of the package and a grid with 4 blue-inked characters on the back side. The front side of the card is glossy as the box was waxed to keep it from leaking. The cards are sized at 3-1/4" wide by 3-1/2" high.
This card is for the subject "Flub-a-Dub from the F376-1 Blue Bonnet Margarine Playroom Portrait set. The card has some staining on front and back but is a scarce type card from this popular Howdy Doody set.
