The Buchner N284 set contains baseball players, police inspectors, jockeys and actors. There are 31 known jockeys checklisted in the set, most of which were known for their mounts in the English Derby and the fledgling Kentucky Derby among other famous horse races of the day. The fronts of the cards feature drawings of the jockeys in their silks and hats from the chest up. The backs of the cards advertise for the N284 set and its different component sets.
This lot contains a trio of the cards graded by SGC including Jimmy Roe in SGC10, William Hayward in SGC30 and Samuel Fisher in SGC40. Although the Roe has a paper pull on the back, all three look nice for their technical grades.
