The R8-2 Peco Candy Cigarettes set is a (28) card set that were box designs on small boxes of candy cigarettes. At a time when smoking was not quite the pariah that it is today, kids bought candy cigarettes in the dime stores of the 1930's-1980's. Pecheur Lozenge company of Brooklyn, NY was a company that made these candy cigarettes and printed cards on the boxes as a way to get kids to buy more of the candy. The R8-2 is a set of small airplane cards which were part of the box. The cards are perforated and easily punched from the box.

This R8-2 Peco Candy Cigarettes Airplanes Near Set of (19/28) Cards is largely in Poor condition with back issues on (15) of the cards in the near set. The card numbers that are missing to be complete are: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 24 and 26.
