The N257 Lorillard "Beautiful Women" set is one of a number of sets that Lorillard issued during the 1880's. The set numbers 50 different, full-bleed subjects that can be found with both vertical or horizontal Lorillard advertising on the back and one of two different tobacco pack graphics on the front of the cards. The fronts can picture Tiger Chewing Tobacco in blue or five cent ante tobacco in black/red.
This lot is for a single N257 Lorillard's Beautiful Women card from the very difficult Lorillard's Snuff's subset. The N257 cards, in and of themselves, are very easy to find. Lorillard's Snuff-advertised cards are much more difficult. The card is in VG to VGEX condition with clean front and back. Great type card for the type card collector.
